Youth Ministry
Youth Group
The Youth Ministry at VBC is centered on missions, involvement in the community, and helping our young people grow into the larger life of the church. They meet regularly each week for Bible study, missions, and fun, and they enjoy annual retreats.
Annual Youth Permission Slips
Each year we ask the parent(s)/guardian(s) of all minors to complete a permission slip. This slip covers the general liability waiver information but also gives us insight into how to provide the best possible care and experience for our youth while they are in our care. These forms must be on file in our Church Office prior to youth participation in off campus events. You can find and complete this form here. Once completed, please email it to Leigh Halverson.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Youth, grades 6-12, gather in the youth room (2nd floor of the Activities building) on Sunday mornings at 9:35am to take a deep dive into scripture.
Sunday Afternoon Send Off
On the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of the month, our youth enjoy a mix of Bible study, dinner, and games. Their time during this gathering is intended to strengthen their connections with one another as they encourage each other to carry their faith with them as salt and light into their schools.
On the 3rd Sunday evening of the month, our youth participate in various mission projects around our community. Their time during this gathering is intended to broaden their understanding of the blessings they have, the talents they’ve been equipped with, and the opportunity they have to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus right here in Macon.
Occassionally our gathering time changes but is most consistently 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Wednesday Evening Huddle
On Wednesday evenings, from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM our youth gather together to grow in relationship with one another and with God. This time together serves as a huddle of sorts, empowering our youth to finish their week strong in the Lord.
